I must say madhur bhandarkar has made absolutely awesome fast movies with really untouched subjects, subjects which most of the people want to know about. All his movies, chandani bar, page3, corporate, traffic signal were great and has made his own genre of movies. He has succeeded in fashion too... Some bad thing in the movie first: (cos i like happy endings ) Very very slow... Confusing first half. so many things happen that you cant even remember during second half. Very Very Long... Struggling Priyanka as a model shown for a very less time. Few unwanted scenes which would surely cut the length by 10- 15 minutes. Audience lose interest just few minutes after second half. Should have started with the actual SUBJECT of the movie in the second half, takes a long time reaching there... You will get nauseous about Priyankas acting, no variations, just the same. Good points: The life of a model, u just feel it, u get into her life, no compromises showing that. The Fashion world is shown really nicely. "Kangana Ranaut" is just amazing. Perfect as a model she gets 9/10... Sets by Nitin Desai are huge and fabulous... The end does make sense, not any bollywood film with "tears of happiness" in the end. Overall if u remove few scenes it could get 8/10. VERDICT: u like madhurs movies or like realistic ones: GO u like Bollywood masala, comedy, action: Don't GO(but at least watch it on a DVD)

And yes, there is a surprise in the movie, the newcomer Mughda Godse, not only she looks like a sexy princess but she gave an outstanding performance. Very few people are so confident in their performances from their very first movie. She was the shining star of the movie. Kangna surprisingly performs well in the movie, although she needs to improve in some parts. And this time, we don't just get to see an absolutely exciting movie, but also there is an absolutely wonderful music & score. Salim-Sulaiman as usual, adds a great pace to the movie. The songs are wonderful & the scores are fantastic. Nothing bad in the movie, just go for it. Gorgeous babes, great direction & splendid music, these are the things that "Fashion" is made of. Tasted the sweet surprise of Bhandarkar Again after page 3. In my words this is the best film of Bhandarkar & Priyanka. Superb acting by priyanka and marvellous script. This is a very valuable film for the viewers and the censor. I did'nt wanted to watch the movie but when I saw it, i slaped myself. In short, Well Done Madhur Bhandarkar

A Decent Movie. In my opinion, this is Mr. Bhandarkar's best film. Everything including the cinematography, acting, music, and the story was superb. Mr. Bhandarkar did a good job in portraying the fashion industry but he overexaggerated some aspects of it. Nonetheless, Priyanka's character was excellent, one which we all could identify with and feel for. Her rise to fame was portrayed excellently. However, things start slowing after she reaches the peak of her career. The pace of the film drops tremendously in the second half. Also the fact that the film is a realistic take on the fashion industry might not click with those who only enjoy full on masala flicks. Dont expect it to be one of those complete entertainers as it may shock or even provoke you at parts.

Brilliant. With all the cr*p being churned out in the name of entertainment today (Golmaal, Singh is Kinng, Welcome and the rest), Fashion comes like a breath of fresh air. Yes the story is predictable but the fact that it grabs your attention for 2.5 hours is worth the price of the ticket alone. Bhandarkar has made a gritty, absorbing drama about the rise and fall of a small town model and her trials and tribulations in between. The movie is well shot, brilliantly executed and has some awesome music and performances making it one of the best films this far. Ridiculed for the number of flops that she's delievered this year, what people fail to notice is that even in a bad film she's been good. Love Story 2050 was dreadful, but Priyanka was good. Drona s*cked. But Priyanka was good. And all these films had no author backed roled for her. Fashion however is her film and will pull through entirely on her shoulders. As Meghna Mathur, the small town girl turned super b**ch and later reformed Chopra shines like never before. Suffice to say she is set to sweep all the awards this year. Comparitively Kangana has a uni-dimensional role - she is good but we've seen the deranged psycho act before. Mughda Gose is brilliant in her debut and the rest of the cast come out trumps too. Arjan Bawja and surpisingly Arbaaz Khan stand out. Don't miss it.

Fashion starts on a bit slow note for about first 20mins..But then slowly it gets on you.., one is always in a hunt of fact that what next..?? Story is about a Chandigarh girl (priyanka) who is very ambitious to become a super model n in that pretext comes to Mumbai.., given an opportunity embrace it with both hands….becomes a top model and more to a hooligan. And then her downfall start thanks to her bellicose nature..blowed down by her infidelites..she suffers a mental shock n then her rise to haute couture in Paris..(To portray a happy ending which is a tradition in bollywood ) priyanka seems to have lost too much of a weight.. and fails to leave a long lasting impact..albiet character which she portrays is very strong..mugda is good in fact gorgeous,. but hold on..the real showstopper for the ramp n for the movie is kangna ranaut…she really steals the show n one memory which you really gonna take with you is her cat walk….it’s awesome..sumthing never seen before.Music is very good ..great job by saleem sulieman..it entertains you n entangles all through the movie n even after that.Movie dawdle a bit in final half n hour..u get the feeling that it could have been 15 mins lessen it’s total time length ..madhur could have done a better job..going by his standards .well in a nutshell good movie excellent music deserves a watch …GO FOR IT ..!!!!
